RENTING A CAR
Dubai is full of car rental companies
and at almost every major street, you will find one. Most of the top car rental companies
are based in Dubai and it is best to check and compare prices as the rates vary
considerably. You may hire cars with or without a driver and the minimum hire period
is usually 24 hours. Almost every car rental company has a range of models and prices
range from Dhs. 90 (US $ 25) a day for smaller cars up to Dhs. 1000 (US $ 273) a day for
limousines. Comprehensive insurance is essential.
LICENCES
Renting a car requires the following:
Your passport, two photographs and either a valid international driving license or a
national license from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Holland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK or the USA.
